Chiedza is a Barrister, working at the Care and Quality Commission in London. She joined the company in July 2020 and practices in the Prosecution, Inquests and Litigation department. Chiedza is able to provide accurate and reliable advice on all aspects of Healthcare Regulatory Law and Criminal Law.
She earned her LLB (honours) in 2008 at Kingston University, London and her PG Dip in 2009 at the University of the West of England, Bristol. Chiedza was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2010 at the Honourable Society of Middle Temple. She completed her pupillage at the Chambers of G.D Tetteh in 2017, under the supervision of Lady Gifty Tetteh. Her areas of practice included Regulatory, Family, Employment and general Common Law.
Following completion of her pupillage, Chiedza worked as a Legal Adviser for Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunal Service (HMCTS). In this role she specialised in providing legal advice to lay Magistrates in Criminal and Family Law.
Prior to undertaking her pupillage, Chiedza worked for the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the Fitness to Practise department. She was responsible for providing advice to committees, drafting committee decisions and ensuring that NMC rules and procedures were followed during tribunal hearings.
